The Pet Loo was launched in Australia in 2006 by Pup-Pee Solutions (Tobi Skovron & Simone Iglicki) and has been called the “backyard in a box.”

Under the grass is a slanted ramp with grooves to direct drainage of the urine into the removable tray in the bottom of the unit. The grass pad lifts off for easy cleaning.

Many pet owners believe that this is a great product but, just like any dog potty or cat litter box, it does require that you commit to the maintenance.

Specifically, like many similar products, it should be flushed with hot water nightly to rinse out any excess urine. Then, at least once a week it should be deep cleaned by using the odor eliminator and a hose–or shower spray.

In addition, getting an extra grass pad has been suggested by a lot of pet owners because that helps to avoid any odor and allows the synthetic grass to dry out completely between uses.

One suggestion is to use one grass pad for a week and switch to the other on the weekend. This action will allow for complete cleaning and drying before reuse and that simple act of switching back and forth between the two grass pads keeps the dog potty smelling nice.

At least one person complained that the “grass” was very poor quality and that the dog would not use it. His concern included the fact that the synthetic grass was tied with pieces of plastic that shredded easily.

Another tester said that they still use it after potty training their pet since they live in a high crime area where it isn’t safe to go out at night.

Dog potties such as the Pet Loo are perfect for senior living situations where there isn’t a yard or only a small patio. In addition, it is a great solution during travel, in recreational vehicles and many other situations.

Take a look at Pet Loo Products, purchase the Pet Loo Dog Potty and the Pet Loo Odor Eliminator now.

Simone shares some great information about the Pup-Pee product in this video:
