House Training & Litter Training: Tips & Videos

Chances are that you have been searching for help for litter training or housebreaking and thought that online sources would be the quickest.

Sometimes finding things online can be a great tool but there is so much inaccurate information out there and I am sure you want only the best, most humane techniques for your pet–right?

You’ll find sources here plus valuable tools to help you in the process.

First, let me share three steps that are absolutely necessary for you to succeed.

  • Prevention
  • Supervision
  • Praise

Whether you are working with a kitten or a puppy–it won’t matter because the same three steps are important.

Prevention means that you as the pet parent will need to take steps to make sure your furry friend is successful because you help him/her succeed by preventing mistakes.

In most cases this is because you will be monitoring and supervising your pet any time the animal is not confined. It only takes a moment for an accident to happen.

Praise will be your best tool because it will reinforce what you want and teach your critter the right way to behave. This is important to instill at a young age.

Rather than go on and on I’d recommend you watch a one of the videos below to give you an idea of what your house training or litter training will involve.

Remember, you should always have you pet checked out by a veterinarian to rule out any veterinary medical issues–if you have not had a wellness check up–schedule one right away.
